I have a question for the 70s and 80s kids here - do you remember going to the library and coming home with a dozen chapter books aimed at the 9-12 set, many with wild and sometimes dark plots, only to feel like those books have now vanished into thin air in libraries and bookstores? I’m talking about beat-up Dell Yearling paperbacks, Dolls in the Attic, Meagan’s Island, Wait Till Helen Comes. What strange and sometimes amazing chapter books do you remember reading?
